First, Sun bought MySQL last year and now they got bought by a big commercial database system company. I really wonder, what’s in stock for the open-source database system MySQL now. Earlier this year, MySQL co-founder Monty already left Sun.
Whatever Schwartz wrote in his email to Sun’s employees, only time will tell whether Sun will soon become a white dwarf, having exhausted its fuel, or will remain a (relatively) bright star in the IT sky…
